2022 Goals: May Update | Money Saving Mom®

I invested a long time the previous couple of days examining my objectives for 2022 and was so delighted with the development I made in May! Here’s an upgrade on each objective:


1. Go through 5 She Reads Truth research studies for the year. (I’ve been caring going through these research studies once again this previous year, however I understood that it’s much better for me to go through far more gradually than what they designate the speed ought to be. I typically take 2-4 days on every day which’s exercised well for me so that I’m actually soaking the verses and gaining from the passages.)

May upgrade:  So far this year, I’ve ended up the Old Testament research study, the New Testament research study, the Do Not Fear research study, and ended up the One Another research study in May. I’m presently doing the Hosea research study.

2. Finish a minimum of 4 books a month. (Last year, I set the adventurous objective of checking out 3 books weekly. I wound up falling extremely except that. So this year, I chose to set a a lot more practical objective. I intend to surpass this objective by a lot, however we’ll see! And if you missed it, I’m setting regular monthly objectives rather of annual objectives for reading — and I’m actually delighted about this method!)

3. Complete a minimum of 1 craft each month. (I prepare to utilize a few of the craft packages that I’ve received from Annie’s Creative Girls’ Club and Annie’s Creative Woman Craft Club. Since numerous of you acquired the wonderful offers I published from them, they signed me up for both memberships as a thank you! While crafting is not something I’m actually talented at, I discover that it is unwinding for me and something that challenges innovative parts of my brain that I don’t utilize extremely typically!)

May upgrade: I made stacking bracelets in January, a pillow in February, another stacking bracelets set in Marchan Easter craft in April, and did a painting night in May with some other foster mother buddies.


4. Have a month-to-month date with each of the 3 older kids. (I’m intending on having the kids assist me choose what they’d like to do every month. I like socializing with my kids and I treasure our time together much more as they age.)

May upgrade: Kathrynne and I went going shopping together, Kaitlynn and I went to get our mails done, and Silas and I headed out to ice cream and to get doughnuts for his birthday.

5. Read 10 chapter books aloud to Kierstyn and Baby D. (I’ve read a chapter from a read-aloud book each afternoon prior to their naps + the reading we are doing as part of Kierstyn’s preschool. While they are little and much of it is over their heads, I like to develop this practice when my kids are small so that it ends up being a vital part of their household culture for the most developmental years of their life. Plus, it’s enjoyable for me!)

May upgrade: So far this year we’ve ended up The Jesus Storybook Bible, Little House in the Big Woods, we ended up reading The Imagination Station book #3 in May.


6. Have a month-to-month date with Jesse. (While we intend to periodically get a real date night out, with numerous youngsters, we wish to be practical… so we prepare to a minimum of do one Date Night in a Box set in the house on a monthly basis — even if we can’t go out for a genuine date on a monthly basis).

May upgrade: Jesse and I headed out on 2 film dates in May!


7. Finish my next book draft. (The initial draft is because of my publisher mid-February. Then, we’ll be going through numerous rounds of edits prior to it goes to the printers. It’s slated to launch in spring 2023!)

May upgrade: I kipped down my book draft in February, met my editor in March about edits, and kipped down the very first huge round of edits in April! In May, they accepted my modified manuscript and it’s proceeding to the 2nd round of edits.
