ABA Foundation highlights education, catastrophe help accomplishments in year in yeview

Seven hundred banks signed up for ABA Foundation programs in 2022, varying in subjects from scams avoidance to informing youth about monetary stewardship, according to a brand-new infographic summing up the structure’s achievements throughout the year. The structure’s Disaster Relief Fund likewise raised more than $200,000 this year to help healing efforts in neighborhoods impacted by Hurricane Ian and historical flooding along the Yellowstone River.

“This year, we built impactful partnerships, developed fun and educational videos for banks and consumers, and achieved exciting milestones—including reaching nearly 900,000 people,” the ABA Foundation stated.

Among the highlights: The ABA Foundation established 7 Safe Banking for Seniors videos on rip-offs targeting senior citizens; launched brand-new Get Smart About Credit infographics on college loan, real estate and work rip-offs; commemorated the 25th anniversary of its Teach Children to Save Program; hosted 5 live webinars reaching more than 3,300 lenders; and highlighted methods banks are enhancing their neighborhoods through the Community Commitment Awards.
