CFPB sets Truth in Lending yearly limit changes

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau today revealed the 2023 dollar quantities for the yearly limit changes for Regulation Z, which executes the Truth in Lending Act. For all classifications of QMs, the limits for overall points and charges in 2023 will be 3% of the overall loan quantity for a loan higher than or equivalent to $124,331; $3,730 for a loan quantity higher than or equivalent to $74,599 however less than $124,331; 5% of the overall loan quantity for a loan higher than or equivalent to $24,866 however less than $74,599; $1,243 for a loan quantity higher than or equivalent to $15,541 however less than $24,866; and 8% of the overall loan quantity for a loan quantity less than $15,541.
