Decentralized financing versus conventional financing: Key distinctions

Something we state a lot here on the Bloomberg Crypto group is, “everything old is new in crypto.” And what we imply by that is that while there’s an understanding that concepts like the blockchain are unique and cutting-edge, the truth exists’s great deals of precedents for ideas like DAOs (decentralized self-governing companies) or ICOs (preliminary coin offerings). This is especially clear today, as crypto experiences its own variation of a “Bear Stearns moment.” Which all asks the concern: Is decentralized financing simply transforming conventional financing with more intricacy and a scattering of blockchain?
