ISM Manufacturing increases in July

The U.S. production sector reduced in July, Manufacturing PMI® signed up 46.4%, 0.4 portion point greater than the 46% taped in June. Regarding the general economy, this figure suggests a 8th month of contraction after a 30-month duration of growth.

The Employment Index dropped even more into contraction, signing up 44.4%, down 3.7 portion points from June’s reading of 48.1%.

The New Orders Index stayed in contraction area at 47.3%, 1.7 portion points greater than the figure of 45.6% taped in June.

The New Export Orders Index reading of 46.2% is 1.1 portion points lower than June’s figure of 47.3 percent.

The Inventories Index increased 2.1 portion indicate 46.1%; the June reading was 44%.
